The micro-powder injection molding (micro-PIM) process has the potential to bridge the gap between the design and manufacturing of micro-components that are often used in small and handy devices. Numerical modeling helps to analyze and overcome various difficulties of micro-PIM. In the present work, a numerical model is developed to predict the powder–binder separation (a common defect in PIM and especially severe in micro-PIM) during the injection of an alumina feedstock. A powder–binder separation criterion is proposed dealing with applied injection pressure and friction force between the powder and binder. An indirect comparison of feedstock travel time between two locations is used to validate the model. The predicted segregation from the simulated result is supported by a qualitative experimental measurement. The developed model can be used to optimize injection parameters to get a defect-free product. 相似文献

Composites of Al2O3/ZrO2 (containing 25, 50, and 75 vol% ZrO2) were prepared by mixing Al2O3 and ZrO2 suspensions. The microstructural control via two-step sintering (TSS) was the main objective of this work. For this purpose, different sintering curves were constructed, aiming to achieve the best temperature combination for the sintering steps that provides higher density and finer microstructure. The results were compared with single-step sintering (SSS). Furthermore, microhardness and fracture toughness were measured for the best TSS specimens under each composition. The results showed that the high densities were obtained, and the reduction of grain size was greater than 40% for two-step sintered specimens, compared to SSS ones. Brown fused alumina is a cost-effective alumina material, and the state of Ti in alumina has a great influence on its high-temperature performance. In this paper, the Ti-containing phases in brown fused alumina particles and Al-brown fused alumina refractory were successfully transformed into Ti(C,N) at 1973 K in flowing N2. The evolution of the Ti-containing phases in brown fused alumina under high temperature and nitrogen conditions was investigated by XRD, SEM and EDS. The results show that the Ti-containing phases in brown fused alumina include Ti2O3, Ti(C,N,O), TiFeSi2, Ca0·95Mg0·9Al10·1(Ti)O17 and a low-melting point Ca3Al2Si3(Mg,Ti)O12 phase. Under high temperature and nitrogen conditions, the TiO2[liquid], MgO[liquid] and SiO2[liquid] in the low-melting point phase are transformed into Ti(C,N), Mg(g) and SiO(g), while they are supplemented from Ti2O3, Ti(C,N,O) and Ca0·95Mg0·9Al10·1(Ti)O17. After heat treatment at 1973 K for 3 h, Ti2O3 and Ti(C,N,O) disappear, Ca0·95Mg0·9Al10·1(Ti)O17 is transformed into plate-like Ca0·55Al11O17.05, and Ti(C,N) is formed on the surface of the corundum particles. The formation of Ti(C,N) reduces the porosity of the brown fused alumina particles and increases their strength. 相似文献

为减少团聚,提高石墨烯在涂层中的分散性,研究采用纳米分散技术预先制备了石墨烯分散液,再将其分散至环氧树脂中获得石墨烯改性复合涂层。通过对石墨烯含量为 0、0.3%、0.6%的复合涂层进行盐水浸泡、盐雾、阴极剥离实验及电化学性能测试,证明石墨烯的加入显著增强了涂层的防护性能。石墨烯复合涂层在 3.5%盐水中浸泡 1 008 h后,涂层低频阻抗仍大于 106 Ω·cm2比未添加石墨烯的涂层提高了 3个数量级,且盐雾实验 6 000 h后涂层表面仍保持完好;含 0.6%石墨烯,的涂层耐蚀行为劣于石墨烯含量为 0.3%的涂层。 相似文献

为了提高铝颜料在水性涂料中的耐腐蚀性能,以正硅酸乙酯( TEOS)为前驱物,通过溶胶-凝胶反应在铝颜料表面形成了一层致密的二氧化硅包覆薄膜,通过优化固含量、溶剂种类及 TEOS的用量,提高铝颜料的耐碱性。利用扫描电镜、刮板试验、接触角测试、析氢实验进行表征,结果表明:以无水乙醇为溶剂,铝金属颜料固含量为 10%,升温至 50 ℃后,逐滴加入 6 g TEOS,再升温至 80 ℃,该条件下制备的 SiO2膜包覆后的铝颜料具有优异的耐碱性,同时表面性能由疏水性转变成亲水性,对铝颜料起到了很好的保护作用。 相似文献

Enzyme‐mediated in situ functionalization of cotton fibers was studied using laccase. Caffeic acid and morin were used as reactive phenolic substrates for laccase and further employed to the modification of fiber surfaces. Laccase‐mediated oxidation and polymerization reactions of caffeic acid were monitored by ultraviolet–visible spectroscopy. During the wetting process, initial cationization of fiber surfaces using poly(diallyldimethylammonium chloride) followed by enzymatic treatment with phenolic substrates resulted ineffective polymer grafting evidenced by high color stability. Changes of fiber surface properties by polymer grafting, such as morphology and hydrophilicity/hydrophobicity, were tested using scanning electron microscopy and gravimetric absorption tests. An acceptable level of color resistance to washing stress was obtained on caffeic acid treated samples, and a high level of rubbing resistance was obtained on samples treated with both caffeic acid and morin. Regarding the ultraviolet protection test, the cationized and enzymatically functionalized samples showed a very good protection grade (ultraviolet protection factor = 25). Finally, the antioxidant activity test of the modified fibers presented an improvement for radical scavenging potential due to the phenolic compounds incorporated to cotton fibers by laccase‐mediated catalysis. © 2017 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Ceramic materials for the thermal barrier coating (TBC) application of Gd2Zr2O7 (GZO), (Gd0.94Yb0.06)2Zr2O7 (GYb0.06Z), (Gd0.925Sc0.075)2Zr2O7 (GSc0.075Z), (Gd0.865Sc0.075Yb0.06)2Zr2O7 (GSc0.075Yb0.06Z), and (Gd0.8Sc0.1Yb0.1)2Zr2O7 (GSc0.1Yb0.1Z) were successfully synthesized by chemical co-precipitation. The effects of the doping of Sc2O3 and Yb2O3 on the phases, thermo-physical and mechanical properties of the ceramics were investigated. The results show that both Yb2O3 and Sc2O3 doping promoted the phase transition of GZO from pyrochlore to fluorite. All the Sc2O3-doped samples exhibited enhanced fracture toughness, as compared to the undoped sample. Furthermore, the GSc0.075Yb0.06Z sample revealed a thermal conductivity of ~0.8 W/mK at 1200 °C, which was nearly 30% lower than that of the undoped sample. 搭建了低谷电蓄能蒸汽发生换热测试系统,采用数据记录仪、Hot Disk热常数分析仪等仪器检测了刚玉球等非相变固体蓄热材料的热物性。通过实验与模拟相结合的方式,研究了粉煤灰、氧化镁、刚玉砂、刚玉球等材料的蓄放热特性。分析了蓄热材料种类和粒径大小对蓄放热特性的影响,得到了不同材料的蓄热密度和综合换热系数等关键参数。结合FLUENT非稳态模拟方法,模拟了蓄热体在不同材料粒径下的蓄热和放热温度场变化规律。结果表明:刚玉球能够提供充足连续的热量,可以作为一种性能良好的蓄热材料进行应用;随着刚玉砂粒径的增大,其蓄热密度和综合换热系数会增大,有效放热时间也会延长。 相似文献
